XP: Which J name do you prefer?

I've made a bit of naming progress with DH--finally!  This isn't a final list, but 2 names that are contenders.  What are your thoughts?  Last name starts with Car, ends with a chee-a sound.[Poll]

    Jonathan!

Jonah is a nice name, but so many people are reviving the "obscure" Old Testament names, and I'm just kind of over it. While Jonah is one of the few that doesn't sound hokey to me, it's definitely on trend with Eli and Jeremiah and Asher.

Jonathan (while also an Old Testament name) is understated and refined, and I like it so much more.

I went with Jonathan also - partly because it seems Jonah may rhyme with your last name. Plus I think Jon, Johnny make cute nicknames as well as J.C.

Jonah, for sure :) I love it. It's on the top of our list for future babies! :) Jonathan is too common for my taste.

I love them both, but I'm partial to Jonathan because I'm married to one. :)

Jonathan/Jon are so very boring to me - while less used now, it is still one of the most common names in the history of the English language. With that said, it is a nice, solid name... and I prefer it over Jonah.

    Good luck choosing!

I said Jonah because as a teacher I have had at least one Jonathan every year for the last 5 years.  Last year I had THREE!
