No, I joke, I joke.
A few weeks back I posted about a student on my case load at work who was contemplating an abortion
(https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/62211128.aspx).
She told me she had it, gave me lots of details, spoke about it briefly and then said she didn't want to talk about it anymore. Of course I didn't pressure her to talk about it anymore until I thought she was ready.
I found out today that she didn't end up having the abortion because when she went in and saw the sonogram she couldn't bring herself to go through with it (there were fingers and toes!). So much for the trust I thought we had! She is currently 19 weeks and told her parents about 3 weeks ago. The family is still trying to decide whether to have a very late term abortion or to let her carry the baby. Apparently she has a doctor that would perform the procedure. And, if she carries the baby she doesn't know if she is going to be able to keep it or give it up for adoption.
She still doesn't know what she wants and my heart breaks for her right now as she is going through this.
On a personal note, I did speak with my supervisor about this afterwards so that I could make sure to process it from my side.
Re: My student had a "Juno" moment, maybe I can have her baby.

Agreed. That would be difficult for me to handle but glad you were able to talk about it from your side.
