Just chillin with my Foley bulb!

Holy Hokey diner! So I am home and sitting here with this plastic thingy shoved up my woohoo! So uncomfortable. The doctor was like oh I see you are not having any cramping and I was like what?!? This sure feels like cramping to me! I have no idea how I am going to sleep tonight! They will be calling me in tomorrow for induction. I can't beleive that by Friday I am going to hold my son!

Ps all you ladies that when natural! I give you a big high five because I can barely handle things now and this is not even considered to be early labour!

Re: Just chillin with my Foley bulb!

  • Sorry it's uncomfortable, but hopefully it works! Just curious, did you select to have the bulb put in over going in for suppositories? Just wondering cause my induction is set for Tuesday but I was only told i'd have the the suppositories. Aldo have to add I'm envious of the fact that you get to hold you son by Friday!

  • I had one too! by the time it fell out i had reached my pain level and was ready for my epidural! the good news is though, once my foley fell out, my cervix progressed pretty quick from there! good luck!

Ditto! They actually gave me a shot of Nubain before the foley came out because I couldn't stand it! I guess I'm also surprised they set you home after they put it in, I was bedridden after mine got put in!

  • Man, I HATED that thing!!!  I thing the insertion of it and when they filled it up was a whole lot more painful than t hey let on that it would be!!!

Mine stayed in for about 2.5 hrs... never really had any contractions on my own after that or even after my water broke about 4 hrs later (Hello, "dysfuntional labor," Pitocin and an eventual C-section).  GL to you... I'm sure you'll progress naturallly and have better luck than I did!!
