DH is a deputy. His coworker is in an undercover warrant serving "team." They only take the bigger cases (murder, shootings, etc). He was shot this morning serving a warrant. He was shot in the arm and is alright, but that hits so close to home. My heart goes out to his wife and baby girl. Scary!

OMG...how scary. My husband is a deputy also, so this hits very close to home for me. I will keep your husband's coworker, his family, and your entire department in my prayers.

Very scary! When I still worked in L&D a nurse got a call from her DH's superior (he's a cop) and as soon as she got on the phone he just kept saying Steve is fine Steve is fine because she was freaking out of course. Luckily he had only fallen while chasing someone and broken his arm, but still very scary to even witness a phone call like that.

Update: The bullet went totally through his arm (which is a good thing vs. hitting bone, etc). He'd just gotten out of the car and they hadn't even try to serve the warrant. The guy has barricaded himself in his house. Likely will not be a pretty outcome.
