AF started but no temp drop

Ok so normally I will get a temp drop in the morning and then go to the bathroom to see AF waiting for me. This morning is was just as high as the past few days. (I'm probably 7 or 8 DPO). This cycle I took off from temping so I'm not sure when I O'd, but I started temping about 5 days ago to watch for AF. 

I was wondering if anyone didn't get a temp drop but got AF in afternoon. 

I also have a short LP so most likely it is AF and not implantation.

    While it's very common to get a temp drop when your period arrives, it doesn't have to happen all the time.

    I don't see a temp drop until around cycle day 2 or 3 and it drives me crazy! I always get my hopes up and then AF shows up with no warning. But the ladies here assured me that was normal for some people, so no worries!

    I'm just so annoyed! Not that AF is here but the fact my LP is so short, ugh!!!! Since TTC #2 the longest its has been is 9 days!!

    Since I switched to vaginal temping, I stopped temping during AF, but before that my temp stayed high until the last day of AF, around CD5.

    Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
    Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
    SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
    11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
    Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
    IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
    PAIF/SAIF welcome!
