Auntie?: re: Autism charities

DH is considering doing a charity run for an organization called OAR, which states that its focus is on applied research for better daily living for people living with autism.

Is this a good charity? I remember reading that Autism Speaks was more about "preventing" autism rather than helping people with it. Is that true? If we are going to do fundraising I want to make sure it is for the best organization.
