Update on spotting and clot

My doctor was not in and I saw his partner instead. He is NOT worried at all about the spotting or even the clot. I told him I had no spotting at all with my first, but he assured me its very common and each pregnancy will differ.

He said the uterus and the placenta right now is just so vascular that its common to spot, bleed and even pass small amounts of tissue. Same goes for the cramps. The uterus is starting to stretch, even this early in the pregnancy.

He said he is absolutely not worried, and even if it were a sign of an impending miscarriage, there is nothing we can do anyways.

I do have to go back to my regular doctor tomorrow for something else, so I will discuss it with him also.

  • I'm glad you were able to get some reassurance.  He is right, unfortunately, there is not alot they can do.  However, peace of mind means alot.  Good luck.
