Did Clomid make you crazy?

I feel like my hormones have been all over the place since I got pregnant the first time honestly.  I choke up at commercials etc. stuff that doesn't normally effect me.  I guess 2 miscarriages in 1 year will do that to you.  I took my first dose today and I DH kept asking why I was so defensive.  He didn't remember I was starting it today.  I HATE how irrational I feel.  HATE it.  And what sucks more is I don't even realize I'm doing it other than DH continuing to be so defensive toward me so obviously I'm acting differently.  Ugh.  Did it make you feel this way?

Re: Did Clomid make you crazy?

  • Yup it sure did. I was a super B!tch and crazy emotional however I was worse when I was having an ectopic and didn't know it. For me it only lasted a few days and then it was done and I was pregnant. I hope it works like that for you!

  • DH would say, "yes, definitely."

    My response, "really?"

LMAO. This was us exactly. I remember we got a second opinion after 3 rounds of clomid, and the new RE said something like, "Clomid works on the brain, which is why it makes you crazy." And MH responded, "Oh yeah it does!" I was like, "I've been acting crazy?"

  • I have never taken it, but I have a very close friend who did take it and she said it made her nuts.  I also have another friend whose brother is an OB/GYN, and he wouldn't let his wife take it because he'd seen so many of his patients go crazy on it.

  • for sure.  My doctor told me to make a list of people I talked to each day and cross off the names of he ones I killed.  If there is one name not crossed off then I had a good day.  Smile

LOL that's hilarious.  Your MD must have personal experience with it.

  • Yup.  My doc warned me not to make any important decisions while I was on it.  That was good advice!  Good luck!
