First of all... We're having a boy!! It is the first boy on my side of the family seeing as I come from a family with 3 sisters and no grandkids yet, so that is VERY exciting!
Anywho, we found out at 19 weeks 2 days that we are having a boy. We had the u/s tech print a pic of the genitals with a note saying boy or girl and opened it with family later that night. The tech says she is 100% sure of what she saw, but I don't even know what I'm looking at when I see the pic!
So my question is, has anyone ever been told one sex, planned for it and everything, only to give birth to the opposite sex? When did you go for your anatomy scan and did the tech say he/she was positive? Thanks!!

Re: Anyone ever been told the incorrect sex of their baby?
I was told at 17wks with out first -boy- she was right.
with our second I was told at 14w 5d -boy- and again at 18wks..
I dont know about you, but I can see the boy parts clear as day! You should post a picture! Being that you are 19w2d Im sure she is right about him being a boy..
congrats- boys are soooo much fun
At 19 wks it should be pretty accurate I think! We went in at 16 wks and the tech said that even though it's early, if they see "boy parts" they can be pretty darn sure. The absence of boy parts or even the three lines for a girl is a little less certain. But since it was obviously a boy with boy parts visible, I think you should be ok.
If they tell you it's a boy, they're probably right.

Yeah...this.
But I have heard of a few people thinking they were supposed to have a girl & getting a boy...but never the other way around. GL!

A friend was told on 2 different u/s that she was having a girl. Went crazy on everything pink.
Ended up having a boy.........they had to exchange the carseat before they brought the baby home.
