I have the Mayo Guide to a Health Pregnancy and I LOVE it. It is written in a factual way, with empathy but isn't condescending as I found some books (WTEWYE) to be. It is well organized to serve as a reference book so you don't need to read it cover to cover to find the information you need. And it is written my Mayo Clinic - a credible source for information.
I loved "it sucked and then i cried" - NOT a serious manual, as you can tell by the title, but a very funny irreverent account of one woman's pregnancy and early motherhood.

Sounds like "Belly Laughs" which was an easy, fun read.
i have requested and read a ton from my local library and my favorite by far are:
natural childbirth the bradley way
husband coached childbirth (also about the bradley method)
ina may's guide to childbirth
the womanly art of breastfeeding
these have provided me with so much knowledge. i read wtewye with my first and thought it was ok. i also read and used healthy sleep habits happy baby with my first and i really liked that book too.
If you are planning to BF and return to work I'd recommend milk memos. Umm reading it now and it has a lot if useful information but also makes you realize it won't be easy but is possible.
I just started reading "So That's What They're For!" and like it so far. It's a comical (but factual) book about breastfeeding. I've also heard good things about "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding."
A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy! It makes me laugh but also prepares me for many things that I never thought about! Also my sister just gave me "Best Feeding" and says it's the best for Breast Feeding, haven't started it yet.
