Helping Cook/Bake Okay?

My friend wanted to host a shower for me. She's organizing it and inviting people, I'm providing the venue because we are doing kind of a girls day mini destination baby shower at the beach about 2 hours from us. There are only going to be 6 people there including me, tops, but it's going to be an all day affair. So is it socially acceptable for me to help cook/bake for my own shower?

    That's fine.  I just would'nt really mention it.  Just have the food there....
