I just saw a commercial about complications from vaginal mesh surgery with a lawyer you could call if you've had it and had complications.

can someone please tell me what the hell vaginal mesh surgery is? lol

Bahahaha!!! I think this is what they do when you have a prolapse and your insides become outsides through your va-jay-jay. Or maybe it has something to do with vaginal reconstruction??

My mil just had it done. The way I understand it is that for her, her bladder and uterus were actually for lack of a better term falling out. They put the mesh up to hold the bladder as well as other organs up and inside. She has issues not only from having 2 kids but she had ovarian cancer when my dh was younger.

Prolapse basically means "to fall out". So a vaginal prolapse would be when things that should be on the inside of your vagina, are falling out. Sounds fun huh?

my sister had this done, as her bladder and uterus were coming out of her vag... it failed and she eventually had to have a hysterectomy

I'm under 30 and have only had 2 kids, and I have a prolapsed bladder. Huzzah!

It's not too serious, and my dr referred me to physical therapy for it, but said i may need the surgery if the physio doesn't work....

My mother just went through some of this, they thought her uterus was prolapsed, but turns out it was just her bladder and the bladder was pushing on everything else. The mesh is like a hammock that holds whatever organ up and in it's appropriate place.
