I'm looking to purchase a paper mobile to hang above my son's changing table. He has a safari (green, brown, tan) room, but the only ones I can find that aren't $60+ are butterflies. I've spent quite a bit on his nursery lately so I'm not looking to splurge on this.
My question is- are butterflies too girly? Even if they're light green, dark green and yellowish lime green?
Re: Paper mobiles
I think stereotypically yes, they're too girly. That being said, have you thought about just making one?

there's quite a few on Etsy that also sell kits that you can make yourself (come with all the pieces) for around $25. I'm making mine--I already have buttloads of paper, just need to wait to figure out what's in there before I go and buy a punch!

I figured...
I guess making one would be better since I could match everything to his room. Thanks for the link!
What about something like this?

I made a paper pinwheel mobile! It was super easy

**HELLO 6 month bump"
I made one too using scrap book paper.
I like these too.
I like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Wee-Gallery-wg201-Mobile-Kikkerland/dp/B00274S8BA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I13T757H81RY3U&colid=6PRSYGY9OWIR
Then you can use whatever you want clipped in or if you have access to a cricut, you can cut safari shapes out of your own colors.
