Well sorta.
Since Glad has successfully used cloth napkins at 2 parties, I have decided that I am going to use cloth for our big Christmas party. We have 40+ people comming, so I'll need to make or buy about 10-20 more (I already have 8 Christmas ones I had bought a couple years ago on clearance, 8 regular good ones, 18 ones I made for every day use, & 6 that I had inherited that are just plain white). I figure I'll need the extras so that I'm not rushing the day of the party to wash & dry ones the family has recently used. Not to mention the inevitable spills that people will use napkins to clean up.

Re: In Honor of Glad
You can do it!
People love using cloth. It makes your party just that much more elegant.
I couldn't agree more. Using "real" stuff makes people feel so much more welcome; so much a part of the household. My guests have acted more comfortable and very at-home when I use my "good" stuff.
When did we begin dressing down our table for guests, anyway? If we're going to entertain, why not do so in a fashion that makes our guests feel special, loved, and taken care of. Disposable dishes are a reminder that the guest causes extra work. Not cool. Not cool at all.
You are absolutely right. I think the message I want to send is that my guests are exactly that: guests. Not a burden.
