1. What is your biggest irrational fear? People dying.
2. What natural disaster scares you the most? (It doesn't have to make sense with where you live.) Tsunami. I hate water.
3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? I can't do sweet potatoes; I'm an Idahoan potato girl and sweet potatoes confuse me.
4. What monster do you find scariest (as a concept): Vampires, Werewolves, or Zombies? Certain religions scare me more. But really: I'd have to actually think about the differences- the terms are essentially interchangeable to me.
5. What real life animal scares you? EDIT: An animal that others might not usually find scary, if you've got one. Snakes. Irrationally. I can't weed a garden bed that I need bc there's a hole, and I'm pretty sure a giant snake lives in there and he's waiting to swallow my arm boa-constrictor style.
6. What would you say is your biggest fear (rational/legitimate/however you want to define it)? Not knowing what's coming.

5. What real life animal scares you? EDIT: An animal that others might not usually find scary, if you've got one. Roaches again? When I was 16 and had them in my house growing up, I would wake up my 8 year old brother to kill a roach for me. The damn roach was blocking the way to my room.

1. What is your biggest irrational fear? Roaches. I don't know why the terrify me so much, but growing up on the coast...those suckers fly. Gross, gross, gross.
2. What natural disaster scares you the most? (It doesn't have to make sense with where you live.) Earthquake. I'm terrified of being sucked into the earth and suffocating.
3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? I can't eat Asian noodle soups. Something about the fish based broth weirds me out.
4. What monster do you find scariest (as a concept): Vampires, Werewolves, or Zombies? Zombies eat people and then turn them into zombies, I don't ever want to be a zombie. Therefore, zombies.
5. What real life animal scares you? EDIT: An animal that others might not usually find scary, if you've got one. Birds. Every time I see a swarm of birds at dark (I use to work at Highland Mall back in the day) I begin to shake...they really could turn on us at any moment.
6. What would you say is your biggest fear (rational/legitimate/however you want to define it)? Having to bury a child. Seeing my mother go through it when my brother died made me realize it would be something I don't think I could recover from.

3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? I'm a pretty adventurous eater but there are some meats that I wouldn't feel comfortable eating (companion animals, etc.).

6. What would you say is your biggest fear (rational/legitimate/however you want to define it)? I have some anxiety problems (currently under control without meds) so this list could be really long. The biggest ones generally concern my H, dogs or parents and something bad happening to them.
Me too! There are a crap-ton of birds at 183/Burnet every night and it creeps me out.

3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? I am not a very adventurous eater, and have some, umm, texture sensitivities with food, so I am guessing this list is long. In general: I wouldn't try anything Andrew Zimmern eats on his show.
4. What monster do you find scariest (as a concept): Vampires, Werewolves, or Zombies? None of these concepts really frighten me. I assume I'd hear any of them coming, and react accordingly. (Or, in the case of vampires, not know about it until my blood is being drained, so no time to worry.) I am also quite skilled at over-estimating my monster evasion talents.
5. What real life animal scares you? EDIT: An animal that others might not usually find scary, if you've got one. Someone else answered with stuff that's fast? I second that AND the huge flocks of birds that hang around certain parts of Austin. I just know those dirty bastards are thinking about pecking my eyes out.

3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? Beef Tongue. I had some at Uchiko and I couldn't get past the fact that I could feel the tastebuds.

1. What is your biggest irrational fear? I'm super claustrophobic. If I can't move my arms and legs, I'll start to have a panic attack. So I can make myself get all worked up thinking about being buried alive. Just the thought of not being able to get out is making my palms get sweaty!
2. What natural disaster scares you the most? (It doesn't have to make sense with where you live.) Tornadoes. We had one go through our front yard when we lived in Houston and I've been terrified of them ever since. If we're in a tornado warning, you can find me in the closet.
3. What type of food are you too scared to try/freaks you out/is just too weird for you? Any weird meats - I'll stick to beef, chicken, fish, and sometimes pork, but really get freaked out by anything else. If I'm being adventurous I'll do deer sausage, but that's as "out there" as I'll get.

Snuggle the fabric softener bear. People always think that's a joke, but I've hated that thing since I was a kid. Freaky little dead-eyed monster pretending to be a nice teddy bear. Ugh.

Anything with a slippery texture that you would have to chew a lot to get down. I'm more sensitive to textures than flavors. Blech.

Traditional werewolves, I suppose. Ghosts freak me out more than any of the options, though. I don't think hitting a ghost with a baseball bat would make much of a difference to it, and that's sort of how I judge scary things.

Ostriches. Ever been up close next to one? They could eat your eyes and eviscerate you Jurassic Park style and you would never see it coming. Aah!

I freaked my sh*t skiing because DH's friend convinced me to go down a higher level than I am comfortable with and the cliffs freaked me out so badly I had to be brought down by a ranger in a snow mobile.
