October 2012 Moms

Intro and Question

Hi everyone,

I am new to the group, so I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm 25 and my husband is 27. After trying for almost a year and almost abandoning hope, we finally got a BFP on Valentine's Day! (Yippee) Dr. has confirmed the blood work, however, they don't schedule the first appointment until 10 weeks. In the meantime, I have virtually no symptoms except fatigue. I'm 5w4d today, due Oct. 26th. Is anyone else in this same timeframe with no symptoms?

Re: Intro and Question

  • Yup!  I'm 5w5d and the only symptoms I've had are sore boobs.  From what I've read, we should be thankful :o)

  • Thanks for the response, it makes me feel a little bit better. It's our first child, as it sounds like it's yours as well, so of course we are just paranoid. I have endometriosis though, so we're just going to hope and pray until we make it to the 10 week appointment Smile

  • Congrats & welcome.  A lot of girls don't see much until 6 weeks hits. With DD and this pregnancy it all started as soon as I got to 6 weeks. Try not to worry too much!

Yup, it's our first.  I haven't been getting paranoid about things yet because it still doesn't seem real to me.  I wonder when that'll happen!!

  • congrats & welcome! We have the same due date :) I have VERY minor symptoms ... a bit of fatigue (I've been going to bed around 9 - 9:30 instead of 10 or 11) and a little bit of crampy/gassy/nausea feelings but not much yet. Oh, and sore boobs (which oddly seem to get more sore at night).
  • welcome! i'm relatively new here too. i'm about 5 weeks or so

  • Im about 5 weeks as well. My due date is Oct.24th. My first app. is 10 wks as well. I am counting down the days until my appointment, it feels like a lifetime! I don't have many symptoms, but sore boobs and increase in appetite.
  • Welcome and congratulations on your BFP!
  • Hi! I'm brand new as well AND we also got a BFP on Valentine's day! How fun! I wrapped up a bib and the positive test and gave it to my DH for a present.

I haven't had hardly any symptoms either. The only things have been a few cramps and my boobs are just a tad tender. I did have my first apt and then couldn't see anything yet. My US is on the 6th and then DH and I have our first "teaching apt' on march 16.

I keep getting worried because I don't "feel" pregnant!

  • I am a little bit behind you....I will be 5w tomorrow and the only symptom I have is sore and swollen boobs. I talked to the nurse this morning about not having any symptoms and she said it's normal to not really have any until about 6 weeks and then if you don't to consider yourself lucky. My mom and sister had very minimal symptoms during pregnancy so I am thinking that's why I am not really feeling anything. I had betas drawn just to ensure that everything was progressing okay, but I have had a previous loss. I think right now you should just enjoy the time you have without symptoms and count down the days until your appointment. Try not to worry about it.

  • Congratulations and welcome!

I am also 5 weeks and I don't really have any other symptoms other than sore breasts and fatigue.

  • Congrats on your long awaited BFP and welcome! With my last pregnancy, I had barely any symptoms beyond fatigue, sore back and some food aversions. This time around they hit a bit after 6 weeks. As PP's said, just consider yourself lucky and try not to over think it. Smile
