I know the answers could vary, but does anyone have a good idea as to how many weeks equal how many months? For example, I'm 22 weeks. So am I 5 months? 5 1/2? Or 5 and 3 weeks? Trying to get a general idea.
People will suggest lots of different methods, but I go by the calendar. For example, on June 25th I will be 9 months pregnant (that's my due date). Count back one month to May 25th and I will be 8 months and so on. I "turned" 5 months pregnant on February 25th and am currently 23w2d.
In general months are ROUGHLY 5ish weeks. So you are 5 months imo. Although I am 16 weeks and I just said to someone "I am 4 months". Weeks are just WAY more accurate.

This is really the easiest way to do it because a month doesn't have 4 weeks, more like 4.3. That means someone is 4 months pregnant at 18 weeks vs 16 weeks if they use the "divide by 4" method. "Divide by 4" is also why some people are (incorrectly) adamant that pregnancy is 10 months

I dont know why but this book makes the most sense to me compared to other websites. Sometimes I get confused too because even though I will enter my 5th month of pregnancy next week, I'm still only 4 months pregnant. And I wont be 5 months pregnant until beginning of week 23.

I was just trying to figure this out this morning. I had been just dividing by 4 so when people asked I would say I'm 6 months pregnant, but after looking it up I'm acutally 5.7 months. This is the website I used.
i take months from my last period... like i had it on 13 sep .. so 13 of every month i change the month ...if that makes sense ..like on 13th feb i counted myself as 5 months.

I do this too. Too many people assume a month = 4 weeks and that's just plain wrong. The ony month that equals 4 weeks is February and that doesn't even hold true this year.
My US tech told me that you are halfway through pregnancy when you are 20 weeks or 4.5 months. So if 20 weeks is equal to 4.5 months, then I just count forward and backward from there.
I am 19 weeks, therefore I am 4 months and 1 week along.

I've been following my "What to expect when youre expecting" book.
1st month- week 1-4, 2nd month- week 5-8, 3rd month- week 9-13, 4th month- week 14-17, 5th month- week 18-22, 6th month- week 23-27, 7th month- week 28-31, 8th month- week 32-35, 9th month- week 36-40.
