What do you think of the name Remington (NN is Remy) for a girl? I am not personally naming my child this, but someone I know is. The last name is 3 syllables as well.

Remington is a firearm manufacturer. I do think it's kind of cute, but for me it's in a "guilty pleasure, I could never use" way. However it is absolutely a male name. Period.

I taught a Remington. He was named for the gun. He has a brother named Hunter who I also taught. I definitely think it's a boy name with a hunting connotation.

I also taught a boy named Remington. His sister was named Castille (Ka-steel), so I always thought of Remington Steele between the two of them.

I used to have a little girl in my class named this who went by Remi, so I think Remi/Remy is darling. I'm not diggin' Remington as a full name though

I actually loved the name Remington for a boy with the NN Remy. I suggested to my fiance that if we have twins, that happen to be a boy and a girl to name them Remington (NN Remy) and Winchester (NN Winnie). He's a gun enthusiast so I thought he'd go for it. He didn't, instead he told me he'd get me a couple of dogs to name Remington and Winchester as he couldn't see himself naming his kids that. I do agree though that Remington is a completely masculine name.
