How are you guys recovering? I had mine on the 15th and was doing really well at the hospital. I didn't need all the morphine or the pain medication. Now that I'm home, I feel horrible. I am so tender that the shower hitting my lower abdomen (not my incision) hurts terribly. I find myself getting really bad pains when I move the wrong way or if I am on my feet too long (5 minutes or so) on my lower left side of my abdomen.
I'm not sure why my recovery seems to be regressing. I'm not sure what is normal and what is abnormal.
Re: C-Section gals
My C-Section was done horizontally instead of side to side like most (this was done for medical reasons). I was in aweful shape the first week. I found that the jigglyness of my belly made it very uncomfortable at first, once it started to firm up a bit I started to feel better.
I had mine on the 10th and am quite comfortable as of today. I think that after the first week I had made great improvements and was able the walk around and stand for extended periods of time. I even did groceries last week before the two week mark. It might be worth making a call to your doctor to explain how uncomfortable you still are. I do know if I do too much I feel it though.
I recovered very well. I made sure that I took the drugs (both of them) on time for about a week though. I know that getting up and moving around (obviously not too much) helped with the healing process so I wanted to do it to heal a little faster.
I agree with pp that not all c/s are the same and not all recoveries are the same. If you think you are getting worse instead of better then you should definitely call your doctor. Also, try taking some of the medication prescribed for your recovery and see if that helps (if you aren't already doing so.)
And of course - what PP said. If you feel like you really are getting worse, call your doc.

2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
I had mine on the 31st and I feel great! It was rough in the hospital but I was discharged with only ibuprofen for pain. The first few days home were a bit rough b/c I couldn't get in and out of our bed easily and I couldnt' lift DS1 at all. Now I'm doing everything and have been for well over a week.
Take it easy and do not overdo it.

I had mine on the 10th, and similar to you, I had a terribly painful spot ony lower left abdomen. My OB said it was a pretty bad internal bruise, and she had me use a heating pad 3 times a day until it felt better. She said that would get the blood flowing. It only took 3 or 4 days to go away after that.
