Amnio questions

Has anybody done one? My DH scheduled ours today because he is so freaked about the ds risk. I am still concerned, but I understand DH's side. I am just wondering if anybody has any advice or personal experience. Thanks!

    I had one done because we were dealing with enlarged ventricals in the our baby's brain and we were ruling out stuff. I was scared because I had additional risk from the infection I had previously in my stomach. But with what we were going thru we had to know the info. Everything was normal. 

     It was not fun but was quick and only little discomfort.  Feel free to pm me or whatever if you have more specific questions.
