I started my regustry online... so far I have a few "little things" (some cloth diapers, first aid stuff etc...) but I am finding that a lot of it is bigger (high chair, stroller, pack n play) Im trying to be practical with it... what practical, smaller items do you guys have on your registry? I want to put more little stuff because its way more affordable. I really just put the high chair and stroller on there because we will get a discount on it after the shower... Im not expecting anyone to actually buy it lol. thanks
Re: "little things on registry"
baby moniter, bouncer, wash cloths, tons of recieving blankets, bottles, breast bump, tub, any kind of decorations you need for th enursery, bibs, paci,
Dont register for clothes. you will get them.
crib sheets, PNP sheets, towels, wash cloths, burp cloths, changing pad & cover, wipe warmer, diaper bag, onesies, socks, sleepers, swaddle blankets, boppy & cover....
This is my second but I'd suggest:
SwaddleMe's in different sizes - just only open wash the small ones to see if your LO likes them (we LOVEd them!)
Mylicon, Tylenol, Sunscreen,
Summer hat, Socks (sizes up to 1 yr - different brands)
Plate/Cup sets, Silverware, one or two different sippy cups, one or two different types of bottles
For you (if you are going to BF) - lanisol nipple cream, breastpads, nursing cover
These were some of just the few things I know I used or had to go out and buy after DS come, so I'd suggest you add them now! I'd say all are under $20!
Pacifiers, Ointments, Teether, Bottle Brush, burp cloths, bibs, and some stain remover and dish soap thats safe for LOs.
Don't worry about things being expensive. Treat it like a wish list. If you could put anything ont that list that is what it should include. People will buy what they can afford, plus your mom or MIL may want to spend a little extra on you. My stepmom went a little overboard.
This way you know you have everything you need, plus like a pp stated some people may go in together and get you the big stuff. As you get bigger it will be easier to take care of the little stuff.
If it is something that you and your hubby really want to buy yourselves don't put it on the registry or buy it soon, but think of it like a wedding registry, most people will look at it and buy what they want to for you/baby.
sleep sacks, onesies (I recommend not getting gerber), socks, baby wash, towels, wash clothes, bath tub toys, books, extra sheets, changing pad cover
