Pregnant after a Loss

Cramping at 10 weeks

I've had cramping on and off since before I got my BFP but it has definitely improved quite a bit as the weeks have gone on.  Over the past few days I've noticed an increase in cramping again (feels like light period cramps) and it concerns me.

I called the Dr.'s office who said to just drink lots of water and call in the morning if it's worse.  Is this normal for cramping to start back up again later on like this?

This whole pregnancy has me scared and in the beginning my levels were doubling in the 42-53 hour range so I keep thinking something is wrong with the baby.  I saw the heartbeat at 8w4d, and I have been listening here and there to the heartbeat with the doppler but I'm so scared every time that I won't find it.

Re: Cramping at 10 weeks

  • Completely normal. If I don't drink enough water I still have cramping.

  • Very, very normal. I hate to tell you but mine went away and came back a week ago at 23 wks. Your uterus is just adjusting to different stages of pregnancy.

  • I think that it's normal too.  I've been feeling all kinds of cramps, pulling, and tearing down there lately, and I just try to reassure myself that if I'm not bleeding or feeling super crampy, deep down that it's totally noraml....I hope.  I know what you mean about getting nervous though.  Being PGAL is hard and is frought with anxiety....for me at least.  I hope that everything works out for you.
