September 2012 Moms

so. freaking. tired.

I can't wait until I don't need my afternoon nap anymore.  omgz.  I SAH with my kids, and thank goodness they nap really well, because I'm dead tired by 1pm.  I've been taking at least an hour nap while they sleep, then going to bed at 9pm anyway.  Kind of cutting into my work time (I WAH) and Bump time and house cleaning time and crap TV catch up time.  Wink

If you've got kids at home to take care of *and* you work full time, I salute you.  I'd be out in my car napping every day, I think.

(No offense to the FTMs, btw!  I know yall are tired, too!  It's just a whole new ball game as far as the exhaustion goes this time around.)

  • It's great that you're able to take naps when your kiddos are sleeping.

  • I work FT and have a son at home. I'd say there is an equal amount of hard work and exhaustion that goes into both jobs. Taking care of 1 and multiple children is just as exhausting as working FT! I feel your pain, only I don't get an afternoon nap Crying I'm in bed, snuggling and watching TV by 8pm every night, asleep by 8:30. I love my bed right now, it's my best friend.

    Sometimes I do--for real.

I so can't wait for my 2nd tri burst of energy.  My DVR is practically full, my house is a disaster, and I have a million Pinterest projects to bust out before September.

    I hear ya!

man it's tough. luckily I'm a nurse (can't nap at work obviously), so I work 3-4 days a week. Those other days that I'm off are pretty much spent on the couch with DD watching tv/movies. Ugh I feel like the worst mom....

  • I completely understand!  Plus, you have two to keep up with!  When I get home from work all I wanna do is eat dinner, snuggle with DD, and then pass out.

  • I don't have kids but I would kill for an afternoon nap time during my 12 hour workdays. 65 work weeks are killer!
  • I.am.so.freaking.tired.too. I seriously can't take it anymore. I almost lost it today. I work full-time, my son is 9 months old. I do get to work remotely out of the home, but today the nanny was a no-show. And I was throwing up every 15 minutes and had a million conference calls and my son would not stop crying. Ugh.Ugh.Ugh. No fun. Thanks for letting me whine.
  • I TOTALLY take advantage of my daughter's nap time.  It is my favorite time of day.  When I was PG with DD, I was teaching pre-K, so when I got my 30 minute break during their nap time I'd nap also.  I'm counting down to my 2nd trimester though because I could really use energy to get things done around the house!
  • When I was preggo with #2 I was the same way! I napped while my oldest napped I was so exhausted all the time! This time around I am working mothers hours while oldest is in school, youngest is at a friends and then I get them, do homework with my oldest, make dinner, do desserts, do baths and put the boys to bed and then I'm out on the couch by 8-830 LOL Even if I was at home with them again I wouldnt be able to nap cause my oldest doesnt anymore! LOL but I do treasure those days before I decided to go back to work...after this one I will be WAH so I'll be able to nap while the wee one naps thankgod! I'll need it for when the older 2 get home! haha Enjoy all the naps while ya can!!

  • I'm super jealous of your naps!  I work from home almost every Monday but I send my kids to my MILs so I can actually work.  Yesterday? I napped from 2-4 (oops) and then fell asleep mid-Bachelor and had to keep rewinding it.  I missed all the dates but saw the Kacie B thing, so whatev.  Ben's an idiot.

In other news, work drags by the rest of the week and I end up in bed by 8:30pm every night. It's awesome.

  • I teach Elem Phys Ed full time.. so no time to sit, let alone nap here.. I sit at lunch, on a prep, or maybe for 2mins if a class is busy and i know i can take a rest with being exhausted 24hrs a day. I'm really not suppose to sit though so its really done at the bare min. I do enjoy sitting on the couch during my daugthers weekend naps. When i was pregnant with my daugther i use to take a 30-45min nap every day after school. BUT now with a 22 month old home with me after school im lucky if she lets me sit on the couch let alone nap. I'm 13 weeks and still tired..when is it going to end????

No offense taken!  I've told DH many times that we're only having one kid unless he hires a maid and nanny during future pregnancies.  I don't know how you do it!
