a/s tonight and nervous

I have my a/s tonight and am nervous they might find something wrong. Everyone on my BMB is posting about finding out the gender at their scans, and I'm kind of like, "That's nice, but how is the baby health-wise?"

We elected not to do the NT, and I'm starting to regret it. And DH refuses to even talk about the possibility of anything being wrong, so I can't even really discuss my fears with him. I think he's nervous too but beleives having a positive attitude is important. I get that but then what am I supposed to do about these nerves?

    We didn't do the NT scan either, and I was nervous before our a/s as well.  Chances are everything is just fine!  Try to stay positive (I know that is difficult; I question everything) and let us know how it goes!  Smile

    It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
    Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
    1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    T&P to you.  I know it's hard.  I've been a sobbing mess the night before each of my ultrasounds, just knowing I would get bad news.  I'm sure everything will be fine, and you will get to brag about your perfectly healthy little one, and their gender on your BMB tomorrow.  ((hugs))

    I was a nervous wreck before my a/s and I did have a nt scan.  My husband didn't want to talk about the what ifs.  I asked him how could he not be nervous.  He said he was a little but said he just is not the type to get nervous unless there is something definite to be nervous about.  Hang in there.  I hope everything goes well and you enjoy the time seeing your LO.  It is quite the amazing experience.

    Good luck at your a/s. Sadly it's normal for us IF gals to worry about everything. I hope you have a great scan and everything checks out just fine!

    3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks 
    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    T&Ps for a wonderful scan tonight!  I had the NT scan and was still nervous for my a/s today.  My heart was literally pounding out of my chest while the dr was doing the measurements.  He was like "are you okay?" :)  I told him I was just super nervous.  And I totally agree about what matters most at this scan....I kept telling people that #1 I prayed the baby was healthy...and then if she had her legs open, that would be a bonus! :)
