Where are you registering?

I've started registries about five different places just to test the waters, as it were, and am price comparing like a fiend, but everything seems to be about the same (and so many places carry the same brands, anyway). We're not going crazy on the baby gear because I know that so much of it is really unnecessary, but I do want to give friends and relations the easiest time of it, if I can. Where are you registering?

I'm definitely going to have one online (thinking either Amazon or babyearth) and one in-store (either Target or BRU). I still haven't decided which though. I've already started a registry at Amazon for CD, so I'll probably stick with that since it's convenient for most people.

Amazon and BRU. I would have said Target, but lots of ladies had major problems with their registries recently and apparently the return policy is sketchy at best.

we will be doing BRU, Target, and Buy Buy Baby. Buy Buy Baby is more for me than anything, since no one else in our family has one near by (though I guess they could shop online.) I love Target and everyone has one near by (though this will just be for 'basics' and small things, pacifiers etc) and BRU because they seem to be everywhere.

with family spread all over, i'll probably do what we planned the first time, BRU and Target, with an emphasis to everyone on Diapers or wipes. we're perfectly happy with Kirkland brand ones from family who have a costco membership and i'd be super happy if i got a ton of wipes rather than a ton of baby outfits.

Amazon and Buy Buy Baby, and maybe BRU just for the discount for me to use later. I think Amazon will be my main one though, as we live super far from our families and friends and most things will most likely be shipped directly to us anyway. Plus I love Amazon and usually use it for most of my own shopping, and it's usually cheaper.

I wish we could just do Amazon, but its not realistic for most of DH's family. So we'll be registering at BRU.

Why do you say that? I have never had an issue with returns at Target and we had our wedding registry through them. Just curious...

I just never had good luck with Target & registeries, specifically with returns. I'd think it was me, but I've had several IRL friends find that with their wedding & baby registeries as well. Also, if I remember correctly, a lot of the moms on my original BMB w/ DS had a lot of trouble w/ Target registery returns too. What I liked about BBB and BRU was that you could return pretty much anything, anytime, whether it came from them or not, receipt or not, as long as they carried the same thing. Since I got a lot of things w/ no gift receipts, that was really helpful.

With Target, no gift receipt made life incredibly difficult. I received something pricey from there, and even though they had the exact same item on the shelves (& it was a Target item, so obviously not purchased elsewhere), because the person who bought it did not connect it to my registery, they would not let me return it. Things like that.

Walmart (because it is literally the only store nearby) for basics and BRU for all the baby gear. BRU is over an hour from my house, but I live in the sticks and most of my family lives near a big city where they could go to the store or shop online.
