Fisher Price musical sea horse

My LO LOVES this toy but the batteries have run out and I can not for the life of me get the battery cover off.  My husband has tried every tool imaginable and we can't figure it out.  Fisher Price is actually sending us a new one incase this one is defected - but just curious if anyone else has had this problem and/or has any advice/tips for us?

    That's odd.  We've replaced batteries multiple times in the last 18 months.  I'm glad they're giving you a new one.

    We've had ours for 2 years and it's never been an issue.  The cover comes off easily with a screwdriver.

    Same.  We have one from 2 years ago and one we bought about 4 months ago.
