Laundry tag-team system?
So after reading a post below about how others try to help out with the CD laundry I started thinking. How would someone know what step you are on say if you go take a nap in the middle of a load?
I was thinking about printing out a wash routine and hanging it on or near the washer. Then I could have different tags to put on the machiene that say "cold rinse cycle" "Hot with detergent" "extra rinse". I think this would only be needed for the first few weeks after the baby is born.
Anyone do anything like this?

Here's an even easier idea...
We have a stackable washer and dryer. Hence, the dryer door is at eye level. I'm going to put diaper washing instructions on the door. With the idea of others helping out, I can just put a magnetic arrow pointing to the step that the diapers are on. This might actually be helpful for me to keep track of what I'm doing at first too.
If you have more traditional machines, you could do something similar on the top of the washer or dryer.
I thought ppl would say I am nuts and this is unnecessary.
Here's how we "tag-team"
Diapers usually get washed at night, so DH takes the diaper pail liner and dirty dipes to the laundry room while I get LO ready for bed. He does the first rinse and knows that it needs to be cold and on the largest setting. By the time LO is in bed, I start the wash cycle and add the detergent. Then one of us does the final rinse.
I always transfer the diapers to the dryer, but DH will run down and check on them after the cycles and add more time to the dryer when needed.
It's really not that hard. I thought about making a sign at first, too, but we found our rhythm pretty quickly.
"Honey! Do these need to be put in the dryer?"
"Is the dial on Rinse or Wash?"
"Wash!"
"Ok, they're good to dry then."
Pretty much the extent of all our diaper washing "where in the cycle is it" conversation. I only had to show him once what to do, and then he was good to go. I mean, he can do his own laundry, I figured he could figure out how to work the cd laundry.
