Well, the doctor's office decided to send me over to L&D to be checked out to make sure that everything was okay. They then sent me down to the ER since they didn't have the heart monitoring equipment that would be needed to check to make sure my heart was okay. After sitting in the hospital for 3 hours they finally got me back to the room and got me all hooked up. My EKG looked good, all my bloodwork came back fine, but they were noticing the "lost beat" on the heart monitor.
They said that I'm dropping PVC's (have to look that up still) and that it is pretty common during pregnancy. I have to follow up with a cardiologist today and set up an appt. for them to look into it a little further to make sure that I'm fine. So it looks like we are all okay over here. Baby was moving around a lot and the nurse checked the baby's heartrate and it was fine too. So, onto the next step. Hopefully we can get it figured out today to ease my mind. Just thought I would let you girls know how things came out from yesterday.

Just got back from the cardiologist and I'm wearing a 24hour monitor so they can see my heart activity. She asked me to write down everytime it happened and I told her that was impossible because I would be writting her a novel, so I'm just supposed to document anything that is unusual. She said everything looked okay, they just want to make sure that this is totally normal and not some heart malformation. I should know in a few days what they find from this monitor.
So it is no shower for me tonight....just a sink bath...BOOOOOO!!!
I had a two week monitor, but I could take it off and shower and then put new pads on. No fun! Hopefully all your results come back normal! I hated having to write everything down, so time consuming, just remember it's only 24 hours and worth it to be sure you and baby are doing fine!
I hope everything goes back to normal soon for you Babybear. I had to wear one of those monitors back in high school and it turns out it was due to my anxiety and not truly a heart problem after all.
Thinking of you and your little one!
