Pregnant after IF

Appetite decrease?

Since my m/s subsided a little around 13 or so weeks, I've been eating everything in sight. I'm 25 weeks now and all of a sudden, I feel like I have absolutely no appetite. I don't want to eat anything really. This has been going on since Sat night when I threw up again. I'm wondering if I just have a bug or something but I feel fine except the not wanting food part. Anyone else feeling this way?

Re: Appetite decrease?

  • I am still pretty early on but I still have not hit an increase in appetite. Then again m/s did not kick in until a week and a half ago long with the aversion to strong smells.

  • I have had that problem the entire pg as well. Like I said earlier this week I have been throwing up the entire time and have had to force myself to eat. As long as you are not losing weight I think you are fine. If you are having heart burn as well this could add to it. I can't get thru the day without pepsid and maybe you will need to take something like that too. I would mention to your doc just to see what they say. I talked to my doc about this and they never worried about it too much because I wasnt losing weight and very slowly gaining.

I haven't lost any weight but I also haven't gained since last week. I was underweight before I got pregnant so my dr wants me gaining a pound a week. I'll mention everything to him next week when I go.

I also put on weight super slow the entire time and was way under what the normal weight should be for almost the entire time. By about 34 weeks I still had only gained 15-16 pounds. In the last 6 weeks I have caught up and am now up25 total.

I was also having regular growth u/s of baby to measuring how she was growing. I was so concerned I wasn't gaining enough weight and they kept on telling me it wasn't my weight that mattered but the baby's. And she was on track so they kept telling me it was ok.

I hope that helps you. I'm sure you are fine but I totally understand the worry. It is hard to imagine the baby getting anything when you are throwing up all the time.
