Hello! I haven't posted in here forever.. I typically stay on the November 2010 board, but was hoping some fellow IN mom's could help.
I'm guessing it's the back and forth weather and the fact that my daugther is getting old enough that she can do more things, but I'm trying to get some ideas on fun things we can do with her to get us out of the house. She is 15 months old and we live on the southside, although I'm not opposed to traveling. I would prefer it not be rediculously expensive, although if it's more activities she could enjoy I would be willing to spend more $$.
Thanks! ![]()
Re: Toddler Friendly Things to Do
I would recommend a day outing to Columbus Indiana. I'm on the NorthEast side of Indy and it took only an hour to get there.

They have a indoor playground that looks awesome for toddlers. Alex is still a little small to really enjoy it.
Some ideas:
- Trip to the Children's Museum - they have an area especially for younger children
- Eiteljorg Museum has a kid's area
- Conner Prairie - indoor area for toddlers in the wintertime, during the outdoor season there's an animal barn and a new kid's play area (including a water table and water cannons, swim diaper required) in the new Civil War exhibit
- Check with your local library for story time
- Raymond Park (kind of on the southeast-ish side?) has an indoor aquatic center
