  • I've seen people suggest cloth as a solution in posts like that. I doubt many moms change teams, but it does happen if the issues are bad enough.

I changed teams! We're going on 2 weeks, leak free, explosion free, and a MUCH cuter booty! :)

  • I have suggested sposies before. Of course, I got called a hippie. Lol

You just have to go about it in a very non-confrontational way. I think most people who are approached by someone who CDs think that we feel we are superior or something. Which is silly. Everyone should choose what works for their family.

  • Yep, my birth month board has a whole thread going right now of grossest moments so far.  Most everyone is posting about poosplosions, and I'm posting about an aspect about my own post partum recovery.  It makes me feel grateful the worst messes we've encountered stayed in the cover, but it's hard to admit that to them without wondering if they think I'm being a snob about it.

  • Well, I was just thinking this morning that there have been a lot of posts here lately about leaking cd's (namely pockets). We're a fitteds family and recently got pockets for daycare, and I seriously doubt that they'd hold in much more than a disposable when put to the test. So, no, I don't get annoyed. This board is full of troubleshooting posts.
  • Yeah, I've suggested cloth multiple times in a very helpful and nice way, just to get snarky remarks back so now I just wonder why people still complain.  The only one that really bothers/makes me laugh is the "Why does my diaper smell like chemicals?"...umm because it is. Sorry if I offended people with this post, I just think it's funny to see all of those posts.

    Pockets sometimes leak pee.

    Disposables sometimes leak poop.

    Guess which I'd prefer?

We prefer neither which is why we are a fitteds family.

    Confused

  • On another board, I saw this post title:  "I washed a diaper!"  At first, I was puzzled cuz I thought maybe I was on here by mistake and couldn't figure out why some newbie was so excited about washing a single diaper, lol.  Then I realized the poster had accidentally washed a sposie with her clothes!  I felt bad for her, but had to chuckle to myself.

  • Haha, I did this the other day when I saw someone's status update about how they want to buy shares in Pampers because their baby was going through so many diapers (he had an upset tummy for a few days I gather). So I just commented: "two words: re-usable diapers". And she was all like: "Two words: No thanks". I doubt she even realises the modern options that are available. Oh well, her loss!

  • I suggest cloth a lot. Sometimes they switch, most of the time they don't.

Sometimes they do a weird hybrid where they'll put a cover over a sposie to contain the leaks. That solution is the one that always makes me scratch my head.
