Lucy kind of fell into her own schedule around 5-6 wks I think. Granted, we helped it along by starting a bedtime routine and, but it wasn't set in stone. Around 8wks she really started to settle in to pretty consistent nighttime wake up times, bedtime, and naps.
Early on, she'd go to bed around 8pm, feedings around 11pm, 2am, 5-6am and then sleep until about 8 or 9. Then those sleep/feed times got stretched out slowly. Luckily for us, she was always a really good sleeper and eater though.

I think both kids fell into a routine around 3-4 weeks.
I don't remember specifics with J but with Asher he would wake at 7 and eat every 2 hrs (on the dot!) and then nap most of the time between. In the early days he would give me a 4hr stretch between 2 or 3am and 7am. Eventually (2-3months) he started stretching that out to STTN but he still ate every 2hrs during the day till 9ish months. He's a big eater though and a great sleeper and always has been.
I think the biggest thing for getting them on a schedule is writing down things for a few days so you can see some patterns starting. Then trying to keep those patterns set. How is W doing?
my newborn wakes up like clockwork/textbook. every 2-3 hours, she wakes herself up to feed...or if i'm ready and she's not awake yet, i'll wake her up during this time at close to 3 hours, she does not fuss and is ready to feed, also.
With both kids, they put themselves on a pretty consistant schedule at about 3 months. Malia still changes is up on me a couple of days a week, but Jackson was (and still is) like clockwork for his everyday.
I found it was easier just let her lead the schedule. Feed her when she was hungry & let her sleep when sleepy. She was a pretty happy baby. She kinda put herself on a schedule by 3 months. Eating every two hours & same with sleep.
We also let E lead the schedule, which fell into place around 3 months. It wasn't an extremely strict schedule (i.e. naps at the same exact times every day), but it was predictable.

This! It was easier to let her lead it, wake up when she needed to be awake and sleep when she wanted to. We tried to encourage sleep at night by keeping things quieter and darker, but who knows if it worked My main goal was to never wake her up if she was sleeping because that seemed to throw things off for her.
I'm a new mom but I've found that it's easier to let the baby sleep when he wants to. Don't wake up your little one for feedings! We've found that it's best to feed him first, then check his diaper and let him go back to sleep. My husband takes the p.m. shift and I've been waking up for the a.m. shift (hence the reason why I'm awake at 5:30 in the morning). Good luck to you!

This is what we did too, and it was so nice. I never felt pressure to put my babies on a schedule (I know some grandparents/well-meaning friends chime in with their .02). She set herself up at about 3 months and she'd make small adjustments as she got older. It got messed up when she was sick, but I helped her ease back into it since we'd established a pretty good routine by then. HTH!
Re: Newborn schedule
chiming in to add nothing useful - at 7 months my baby STILL has no schedule. At all. He is entirely unpredictable.
