DH and trip, I can't be rational

Some friends are going camping in June, I'll be 33 wks. DH wants to go for 2 nights with DS. We are also taking a vacation the week before or after the camping trip. Logically I know DH can cancel should we need to and it is only 45 minutes away but it freaks me out. All I can think about is loosing Nicholas, I went to L&D for a check alone and had to call DH from there. It was awful. 

Tell me it is fine for him to book it, esp knowing he'd cancel if I am a ball of nerves or the OB had concerns.

(FWIW DH travel for work, this month he was gone 8 days, so it is not a matter of being alone. Although he won't travel after June 1st b/c his trips are across the country and that freaks us both out. )

    Going myself is not an option. It is more rustic and trekking through the woods at night to use the bathroom is not something I am ok with. Plus sleeping on an air mattress on the ground will be uncomfortable to say the least.

    At 33 weeks I would say it's okay for him to go since it's not too far and IF there's cell reception there.    I woudn't love the idea if it were me, but that would leave me alone with a toddler, which isn't easy.  But if you're looking for a conformation that it seems "safe" to go ahead with, I'd say plan for it, then like you said, cancel if you need to.

    Just need to get over the mental hurdle I guess. DH is thinking I could have a few nights alone before the baby comes to relax. I hope it works out that way!

    I would say it should be ok at 33w, but i know how u feel.  My DH is gone right now...coming home tonight late, but was snowboarding w/ our BIL at the local mtns which is a 3.5 hr drive from us gone for 2 nights.  I was not thrilled about him going, just because I am on such close watch right now with my high bp and won't be making it till my due date, not to mention I just had another L&D trip on Sat night..

    Its POURING rain here now, and DH says its like a blizzard up there right now, been snowing all day! They haven't started to head down the mtn yet... Ugh.  I know I will be fine, but like you, it's hard to not think about all the "what ifs."

    He booked the site. The irony is my closest friends will be on the trip. There are 5 families going. We talked and he had the same fears I did, so if those take us over we can cancel. I think after a late loss the 3rd trimester might be the scariest.
