A friend had her baby last night...
...in her bathroom.
She started having contractions during the Oscars and went to bed hoping "this was it."
Her husband sent their contact a text at 1:40 a.m. saying they'd had the baby in the bathroom and an ambulance had taken them all to the hospital and that all were well.
Hole. Lee. Crap. 
ETA (for clarity): she wasn't planning on a home birth. I don't even think she was planning on an unmedicated birth. This was her second baby.
