Anyone know of swimming lessons available in Onondaga County besides the Y?

    For what age?

    Champions on Circle Dr in Cicero has them, and Golds Gym in Liverpool on Rte 57.  Town of Cicero has them at Williams Beach for age 3+ in the summer.  I am sure there are more, I just know those.

    Cck the local town parks n rec websites... Im sure the City of Syracuse must have them somewhere! Also maybe the JCC?

    So far, I have been bounced around the county offices. Everyone kept telling me they didn't know, but try this number. I did email Gold's, two times now. I just emailed the JCC. I will post if something new pops up, but for now, it looks like the Y is the only option for my LO because she is only 8 months. (one place said they have classes for 18 months or older)

    I just called for my LO today... the swim lessons at Golds Lpool start up again the first week in March, and registration is from 4-7 on 2/28 and 2/29. My Little guy is 9 months old, I think the lessons start for 6 months and up... Cost is $49 for 7 lessons.

    The lessons at the Y begin next week - Cost for non members is $60 for 7 weeks plus $17.50/month for youth membership. Only Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Saturdays are open.

    JCC only offers swim lessons in the summer.

    Thanks so much for posting about this! I've been wanting to enroll Lily in swim classes for months.

     

    Does anyone know what time the classes are at Gold's? I tried calling and the girl I spoke too didn't seem to be too knowledgeable about it. She thought maybe around 5. I'm hoping there's something earlier since it seems a little close to dinner and bed to me.

    I also talked to her, and was annoyed at her lack of knowledge. The ones on M/T/W start at 4:30, and Im sure the littlest kids go first, I think.... There are also classes on Sat AM, if that time works better for you.
