My name is Chelsea. My husband is Jason. We are about to celebrate our 5th Anniversary on March 10th. We had been trying for 18 cycles, the last 3 with with an RE, when we got our BFP.
I found out I was pregnant on my 35th birthday and was over the moon. Because we were under the care of an RE, I was monitored weekly. I found out my progesterone was low at my first beta draw, so I started progesterone supps. right away. We had our first u/s at 5w3d and everything looked fine. We went back at in a week hoping to see the heartbeat. We didn't, and my RE started bracing us for the worst. The next week was the hardest wait, but we saw the heartbeat! At 7w3d I was only measuring 6w1d, but our RE seemed to be okay with everything. I had finally started to relax and really get excited. We found out at 8w3d that we had lost our baby. According to the u/s, it looks like development stopped the day after our last u/s. It is amazing that one month can be filled with such extreme highs and extreme lows.
I had my post d&c follow-up appointment with my OB last Wednesday. Everything looks good, and my hcg is down to 9. I'm meeting with my RE this Wednesday to get our plan to start trying again as soon as AF arrives.
Re: Gearing up to start trying again- intro.
I am so so sorry for the trauma you have been through. I'm glad to see you're joining the board, it can really help.
From one Chelsea to another (that's my name too!), welcome.

Chelsea, I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss and that you find yourself here.
I too am 35, and lost my first baby six weeks ago. I am glad that everything went well with your follow-up and I hope that y'all can start trying soon.
Welcome to the board ... I hope your stay here is short!
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
