A FB friend of mine is doing this and I'm intrigued. Do you think it still counts if you do those knee push-ups (the ones my gym teacher called "girl push-ups")?
Push-ups are going to make a bigger difference with your chest muscles than your arm muscles. If you want to work your arms using resistance you should do stuff like this:

Yes they still count! But, I would still try and do as many as you can the regular way first.(and by as many, you only have to do 2 in the first set)

I like this because it breaks them down. I HATE when I'm at a class at the gym and they say "now do as many push-ups as you can in a min" yea right.
