Got glared at in a sushi restaurant

I had to share my experience with all of you. I was quite amused. My husband and I had lunch at a sushi restaurant today and I had a few sushi rolls (gasp) and to my surprise, a lady gave me an intense glare as I left. Apparently she didn't approve. My husband and I got a good laugh out it. Anyone else get a disapproving glare for something you've done so far in your pregnancy?

I think the worst I've gotten so far (which really wasn't that bad) was our older next neighbor has taken on a grandfather roll to our kid. So I was out shoveling a tiny bit of snow a couple weeks ago and he pulled up in his truck and declared that I should be inside where it was nice and warm and not shoveling no matter how healthy I declared I was. So, I waddled back inside and the guy plowed our driveway for me. I know he means well, but it made me laugh thinking of how much of a disability he made it out to be.

I went to the gym for the first time since September yesterday. My m/s is to the point that I can walk at night and not feel horrible. The front desk lady asked me if I was trying to induce labor. I said I am just walking the track...I won't be sprinting.

I got smirks from people at starbucks a couple times. I do decaf IF I get something with coffee in it but it just made me giggle. What's really funny is I went to go get my hair cut and colored back to my natural color when I left there....

I got scolded by a co-worker (i.e. yelling at me across the packed school cafeteria) because I was eating a cup of noodles and apparently it has too much sodium for the baby.

I work at a resort, and sometimes my fiance and I sit in the saloon and hang out with some co-workers on our friday night (tues for everyone else) and he plays pool and drinks beer and I sit and talk baby with the gals. One "friday" night I had we were sitting with friends and they were having a round of shots and did a cheers so I cheers'd with my fiance's beer and took a little sip...OMG did I get the nastiest look from a couple sitting on the other side of the bar. Seriously? I took a sip...I didn't slam the whole beer!

Either I am oblivious to others, or people where I am living are more laid back when it comes to pregnancy. I don't think I would handle it well. My hormones aren't exactly "stable". LOL

I cant stand this. I get so annoyed when people stare at me in the gym while im working out. just wnt to scream yes I had sex yes im pregnant. its a natural thing and how you all got here.

I get looks when I am at work the patients or family members freak out saying they dont want to hurt me or the baby and say things like should I be lifting etc during this time. its so annoying

I haven't gotten any glares with this pregnancy. I went out to a very fancy dinner with my H last weekend and the chef sent us out to small glasses of dessert wine on the house. I drank it and nobody gave me a second glance.

With DS I was once in a bar waiting for a table upstairs in the restaurant and the people were staring at me like I had 3 heads.

I was pulling cable under a desk and when I got up, a few people freaked. I don't what's funnier, that people are shocked to see a woman in IT or that they don't expect her to have a baby!

I usually set up the computers in our office and was not in the mood the climb under a desk so another girl did it and complained the entire time. So since she didn't finish the job I went under the desk to finish the phones etc. She kept telling me to get up and she would do it.....but she never came over so I just finished what she didn't.

I got a Look for eating at a sushi place on more than one occasion. I thought it was pretty ridiculous considering I was eating avocado rolls and had nothing whatsoever with any fish or other seafood in it.

I also get a lot of sh*t for wearing a swimsuit while pregnant. I don't know how the old bats at the park district expect me to swim without one, and I don't think their criticism stems from any pro-nudist beliefs, so the hell with them. I have every right to exercise, just like they do.

This is not really pregnancy related but I received glares a few days ago at the mall. I had shared chocolate with my toddler son and needed two wipes to clean him up. When my friend came out, I held the two wipes up showing what a mess I had (I think half the chocolate was on the wipes instead of his tummy). Well, a couple gave me the funniest look and I realized what they were thinking. I think it's funny...for shock value, I could have had more fun with those wipes.

No glares at me... then again I am just NOW beginning to look pregnant, and that's only if I wear a tighter shirt. I'm not complaining!!!

I am either oblivious or people can't tell I am preggo, one or the other.

I have eaten sushi several times (with my OB's guidelines) and have ordered my own glass of wine that I then have my DH finish off and haven't gotten a single stare. That I know of.

I got a few glares and stares while I was at the airport flying out to see my brother. Security was really nice and let me through with absolutely no problems. Didn't even have to be screened while they searched DH. Ha! Oh well, I guess not too many people see a pregnant woman at the airport...

It was so funny, we were hosting Christmas dinner and so I went to the store and bought 3 bottles of wine to serve our guests with dinner and I got so many looks. It just amazes me how much others judge people when they don't know anything. I wasn't drinking it and even if I was it is none of their business.
