Pls recommend a good OBGYN in NOVA

Hi All

So am new in the area and am a first time mum to be about 5 weeks gone and i will appreciate recommendations for a doctor in the reston/herndon area of nova. This is all pretty new and scary to me so any help will be appreciated. Thank you

    I started with a group at the beginning of my pregnancy in Herndon called Healthcare for Women.  I saw Dr. Porter, who is very nice, only issue is that I believe they only deliver in Alexandria.  I now go to Fair Ridge Ob/gun next to Fair Oaks hospital and they are awesome! Good luck!

    I go to Phsyicians for ObGyn Care in Reston.  I have not delivered with them, but had my annual appointment with Dr. Patel.  Unfortunately I went through a miscarraige the end of November, and the office staff, nurses, and all three Doctors were just so supportive and wonderful.  I have been very pleased with this practice.

     Actually Healthcare for Women only delivers at Virginia Hospital in Arlington. So if you live in Reston that may not be convenient. All the doctors are great but I love Dr. McClendon.  The location isnt very convenient for me but will continue to go to them since they are so great.

    I liked Fairfax OB/GYN Associates.  They practice right out of the medical building next to Fair Oaks Hospital so not too far from Hernon/Reston.  They have abour 5 OBs and 2 midwives. I really liked one of the midwives, Karen Anderson.

    I second Physicians for ObGyn Care in Reston.  Drs Patel, Cauble, and Rausch are fantastic and caring.  I saw all of them last year frequently and Cauble delivered my second child in July 2011.  They are knowledgable and patient.  It was a far better experience than my previous ob/gyn practice with my 1st.  Even the nurses were great.  It was important for me to deliver at Reston Hospital and their practice is across the street from it.  I am picky about my drs and I have to give them a thumbs up. I believe Dr Cauble got a nod from Washingtonian magazine as one of the Top Drs in our area.

    I go to Perfectly Female, they have an office in Ashburn and one in Reston and deliver at Reston Hospital.

    greenbriar OB-GYN!   LOVE LOVE LOVE all the dr's there.  They are routinely on the Washingtonian best dr's list.  I've been going there for 8 years.  You can't go wrong w/ any of the dr's there.  Dr. Gopaul delivered us at INOVA Fair Oaks.

    Reiter, Hill, Johnson and Nevin have a Falls Church office.  I've been going to them for years.  Dr. Johnson is my doc, but I've seen a number of docs in the practice and I've liked them all.  Dr. Osmun delivered us this past December at Sibley.  They do their deliveries at Sibley and GW.
