I woke up and turned on the news an hour ago. A local school is on lockdown for a shooting. How sad that this kind of thing happens. 4 shot 3 critical. They are being taken to the hospital where MIL is head trauma nurse. This hurts my heart and soul. I can't imagine being a parent finding out that there was a shooting at my kid's school.

    It's so sad what goes on now in schools. I'm also considering homeschooling.

    I can't even imagine turning on the news or getting that call saying there has been a shooting and not knowing if my baby is okay. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by this :(

    This is so crazy and sad.  It's a scary world out there some times.

    A girl was shot at an elementary school that my friend's dd goes to last week.  It turns out that it was just an accident...a kid had it in his backpack and it just went off, but I know she was terrified.  I just can't imagine.

    I saw the breaking news on MSNBC just a little while ago.  Those families will certainly be in my thoughts today.  How terrifying.

    That's so horrible.  My T & Ps go to everyone involved.  So scary.

    We're also considering homeschooling-in fact, we're 99% sure that's what we'll be doing.

    I'm from around that area as well. It is just so unbelievably sad. They confirmed one student has died. Keeping all involved in my thoughts and prayers.
