Finally! I've reached my due date!

C'mon out baby Ashley, it's time!!!

I think this one might be in there for the long haul though. Other than being 1cm dilated at last week's appointment, and having no mucous plug, I've also had absolutely no signs or contractions or anything that would lead me to believe that this baby is coming out today. LOL

    After I lost my mucous plug, it took about 24 hours for the contractions to start. When that happens, start timing your contractions!! At first they will be mild, like a crappy period. Eventually each of them will last for a minute long and will be five minutes apart. After an hour of these severe contractions, go to your doctor or hospital to be checked out.

     Good luck mama! I hope you get to hold Ashley really soon!

    Happy due date! Last Monday I woke on my due date and felt fabulous. I went to watch DH play hockey at his annual family day pick up game, we went to a pub after the hang with friends and we followed it up with my bday dinner at my parents house. I was joking with everyone all day that I was going to do lunges, squats and jumping jacks all day to get baby moving. Sure enough, the next day I was a mommy! You just never know when they'll surprise you.

    Happy Due Date to us!  At my last appt I was only 1 cm too, no sign of mucous plug either!  Last night I was having some pretty regular, painful contractions but this morning, nothing.  I have an irrational fear that I missed my window of opportunity and now she's never coming out!  haha  I am having a ton of movement and clicking (I mentioned that in an earlier post you commented on!), who knows what all that means.  But I sure am ready!  Hope Ashley makes her debut soon!!

    It's my due date too :) Never thought I'd see it because I was early with my first, but.... hey, here I am!

    Just to reassure you, I had zero signs (literally zero - not even strong Braxton Hicks) before my first labor started until the day she was born. None of it means a single thing, sadly!

    My due date came and went on Saturday so I am right there with you! I am getting so impatient. And don't look too much into the dilation/effacement. I have been at 3 cm, 80% for three weeks now and still no baby. :) And like what some people above said, some women have no progress at all and then they have their baby.

    Today is my due date too and here I sit.  I work at the hospital and I went to the cafeteria for lunch and everyone I saw said "you're still here?"  I sat with the manager of our special care nursery and she told me that I should go home tonight and put on Chubby Checkers and Do the Twist! 

    All along I have said that I just knew that she wouldn't come until later but secretly I hoped that she would surprise me this weekend.

    So I guess we can all say A Very Merry Un-Birthday to our LO's who have decided that they are just too comfortable to come out and play!

     haha....I totally could have written the bolded part myself!  Unfortunately, after a while all of the "you're still here?!" comments got really old so I called it a day early.  Here's hoping she decides to make an appearance soon!!
