I was just thinking last night as both boys came down with fevers...when is it ok to start with vitamins? DS #1 is 2 now so I was hoping he'd be old enough to go ahead and start with? Anyone know? I was going to look at the store next time I went, but thought I'd see what you guys had heard/did?
Thanks! ![]()
Re: vitamins?
E takes 1 "My first Flintstones" everyday. They are made for 2-3 year olds and the pedi recommended them over gummies (apparently he thinks gummies have too much sugar and are too much like candy, could get confused with and then overdose).

Yes, most pedis and dentists don't recommend gummy anything, including vitamins. They can stick to their teeth and cause decay.
While we don't do a lot of gummy fruit snacks, we do do the gummy Disney vitamins. It's just two a day, and she eats them with meals. And they're in a childproof bottle which I of course keep out of her reach. I'm not too worried about it. :-) We started when she was probably 2 1/2.
Ditto! I actually returned a bottle of gummies to Target after talking with our Pedi. He said vitamins weren't necessary at this age, but the Flintstones/chewables were the best.
