  We have vinyl ones.  I never heard of fabric ones but I like the vinyl.  Having said that, there are differences in the ones I've bought.  Some are a thicker vinyl and stay better on the wall and others peel off (especially if anywhere near a heater).  Some are almost translucent or see through and others are very opaque.  I honestly don't know how you can tell from looking at them on line - it only when you get it in person that you can see a difference. 

  I've bought 2 from etsy and I liked them - one was a tree with horses and it was huge - the entire size of a wall.  It came together in pieces and I put them together on the wall.  That was nice because it made it easier to work with smaller pieces.  The other one had my dd's name and it was a pain in the butt- the letters were so thin and they ripped easily.  The polka dots surrounding it were each individual dots- there must have been 200 of them and because they were so tiny, they didn't stick well. 

  So, to me, it's not just what they're made of- it's how you would apply them to the wall.  Is it one large piece or several you put together that is manageable.  Are there any really tiny parts?
