NER: Recaro Seats

I was wondering if those who have them could answer a question for me.  Is the crotch buckle adjustable?  I was just reading that this is a complaint with some other carseats when the child gets bigger and the buckle isn't adjustable it becomes very uncomfortable.  Also, do you know where I can find the safety ratings?  I was just looking up info in Baby Bargains and they said it was a new seat that was promising, but that was it.  Thanks :)

    I usually go by consumer reports. ?But they aren't rated. ?Here is what is linked on the Recaro website

    I used car-seats.org when I was researching.  They can answer most questions that you would have and most of them are certified installers.

    I don't think it is, but I have a friend who has a 6 year old in the seat and still loves it.  It is new, but Recaro has been making race car seats forever and has a reputation as the best.

    Consumer reports and baby bargains are not reliable safety information. The best bet would be to go to car-safety.org. You can find info there, and if you ask on their forums (you don't have to register to post a question), and they'll give you good resources for reliable safety ratings.

    From what I know, recaro seats do not begin to compare to britax seats, and they're the same price. 

     ETA: new seats typically have issues at first, because they haven't worked out all of the different quirks and stuff.
