I'm so glad she won, she definitely deserved it, although I think several of the others were amazing in their roles as well.
They've done a bunch of the non-acting awards so far; cinematography, costume design, etc.
Thoughts on fashion? I had to giggle when J.Lo was presenting and quoted someone, and said something about dressing like a lady, as her dress was slit nearly down to her belly button. I hate Cameron Diaz's hair. Tina Fey looked amazing, as did Michelle Williams. I wish Brad Pitt would cut his hair and be hot again. But I think that's his goal, to avoid being attractive so he'll be taken seriously. He's succeeding.
On our way to 3 under 4!

TOTALLY agree! And I don't necessarily disagree with the non-bolded... i'm just not really paying attention. haha

Word on FB is that JLo had an areola slip- definitely not ladylike!!! I won't make it to the end, I rarely do, but I love watching for the fashion and the skits. And I thought Cameron looked cute, I'll admit it.
It's kind of funny - I only saw a couple of movies this year. I always wish I had seen more of them so I knew a little bit more about the nominees.
I did see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - and LOVED it. I think Rooney Mara totally deserves the Oscar. But I guess I can't really say that because I didn't see any of the others. I mean, Meryll Streep pretty much gets my vote even when I haven't seen what she's done. She's Meryll-freakin-Streep. :P

Ya, hubby and I were wondering if that was nip slip. We decided it was probably one of those petals things or body tape. Or her nips are crooked...

I think like 0.01% of women can pull of wearing a clingy white dress. Good for Gwenyth for being one of them!
Yes! Classy. Love her.
So apparently now they cut your mic when you go over on thanks. Awkward. And how sad - you finally get your Oscar and you can't even say thank you because you're sharing it with 5 other people.
Yea no one likes a long speech, but it's pretty harsh to turn the mic off. And have you noticed how short the time is? They're really not giving them much time at all, that's sad when it's lots of ppl. And yea- Gwenyth looked amazing!!!! SOOOOO thin though...
Angelina- we see the slit, and we know you have nice legs. I don't think it's necessary to stand funny like that just so we notice...
Agreed. Eat something, girl!!! I was half expecting her to fall over from the wind caused by someone sneezing nearby.
And would it kill her to powder her face? She's got gorgeous skin but she looked more sweaty than glowy. With the harsh eyeliner and classic red lip, she should look more classic and matte.

I was disappointed in the Best Movie category, but I have learned that I need to see Hugo from all the awards it won tonight. I loved that Billy Crystal was back and kind of took it back to how award shows used to be...
Honestly, I was hoping for a couple "Bridesmaids" wins just to throw it for a loop, but oh well! I did love the fact that the Muppets won for the song lol.
As for the best dressed, I'd go with Emma Stone and Gwenyth Palthrow. I also loved Stacy Kiebler and Milla Jovovich!

Thank you. I thought that too. It looks like she rolled out of bed!
I'm really the LAST person who should be commenting on fashion, but are her roots supposed to be showing? It's Oscar night!

Yeah, she just looked sloppy.

Yes! I love her comedy style, too. I also like that she didn't feel the need to show a ton of skin. I think she looks very glamorous!
Ditto! I didn't see Hugo but from all the awards they are winning it seems so good!
Yeah, I think I'll be catching up on a lot of these on Netflix in a bit.
Christopher Plummer. Wow. Is he wearing velvet? Good speech.
