pampers with chemical smell?

We've used pamper swaddlers since DS was born and have really liked them. Recently we went to cruisers size 3 or 4 and have noticed a pretty strong chemcial like smell. Anyone else noticed this??

We used pampers swaddlers sensitive and when he went up to size 2, I started smelling it. I stopped using pampers and now use Huggies or Up and Up.

I have used Pampers swaddlers since he was a nb and noticed this as well.

For me, it seemed like the regular swaddlers had a strong smell so we used swaddlers sensitive and didn't notice much of a scent. We haven't opened the size 4 swaddlers sensitive yet, but if those have a strong scent we might try cruisers.

I guess the smell is just the downside to having the absorbency...*shrug*

Yes! But I only smell it when wet and using the regular Pampers Baby Dry. Not the Sensitive. I will be so disappointed if I start smelling it with the sensitive.

Funny you should mention this. We have always used Pampers Sensitive and just noticed this when we moved to size 3s this week. I was wondering if there was something different in the 3s that wasn't in the NBs, 1s and 2s?

We havent noticed a chemical smell but we have noticed that the fragrance is SUPER strong in the swaddlers now. We've only noticed the difference in the past few weeks when we bought a new box.

I noticed this too when we went to size 3, so I called pampers and they told me that they start putting "dry max" in swaddlers sensitive 3. I stopped using them because I hate the smell.

Exactly why we have stopped using them. They also would leave gel and crystals on LO. We only use Huggies Naturals now.

We use baby dry, but when he got into a size 4 I was like ew why does your pee smell so weird? Heh. The thought never entered my mind that it would be the diaper since he's been in baby dry since size 2! Maybe I'll switch. I don't like the stink!

Glad I'm not the only one who smells it. Now if I can just find another diaper that I like...
