Video Monitor: What size screen?

We're trying to choose a video monitor for our registry but I'm not sure about screen size. 1.5" seems rather small; however, it does seem more portable which might be nice if I want to sit outside in the backyard while she naps or something, or if DH is working in the garage. Otherwise, we'll likely go with the 3.5" screen since the unit itself seems to be the same size for the 2.8" and 3.5".

Any thoughts?

    I suppose it depends how much money you want to spend on it. I think as long as I can see the baby I will feel a lot better. I don't mind a small screen but I guess we will see if I change my mind when I actually use the monitor!

    Ours is 2.5" and I can see DD great in it. It has pan and zoom features, too, so I like that I can get a close-up of anything in her nursery.
