Suprise gift from BD?

Or what? I looked at B's account today and there was a substantial deposit from the family support division. I usually get my payments like clockwork since my CS is garnished from his wages. I just got my usual bi weekly amount last week, and this amount was a little bit less than that so it wasn't a usual payment.

I called to see if there had been an error and I received someone else's money, but the lady said it was a direct payment from the NCP. I have no idea what this money is for or why he sent it, if he did in fact. He has not willingly given me a dime in well over a year - anything I've gotten has been court ordered.

What do we make of this?

Could it be possible that they pulled some extra from him for back child support? My other guess would be that they pulled his tax return if he is arrears. Other than that I don't have any clue what it could be.

Mine is kind of like clockwork $x amount every two weeks. The only additional odd payments are amounts deposited directly by BD for medical reimbursement.

I did consider the tax possibility, since the system says BD is behind even though he is caught up - he just paid the lawyer directly. But I called today to verify that wasn't what happened. Nope, they said it was a direct payment from BD, not a tax confiscation or from his wage garnishment. Mystery remains, I think I just won't touch it for awhile, just in case.

Sometimes my DH will pay double the weekly amount he is court ordered, so he can skip a week (if we know we have bills, etc to budget for). As long as he pays $x amount a month, they don't care when he pays it.
