    We definitely want a video monitor and I am hoping for this one because it has the highest overall rating on Amazon. If we don't get it as a gift, I will probably by the smallest screen.

    We just went with a basic audio monitor, the Sony BabyCall, and I really like it.

    We purchased the AngelCare AC1100 - 3-in-1 Digital Video, Sound & Movement Baby Monitor.  Our baby will be here tomorrow!!! Although we purchased it a week or so ago, we haven't actually tested it out yet - that's on our schedule for today...we've been a bit overwhelmed with lots of details but I did the research and it's received very good reviews from all who purchased and used it.  There was one caveat - the set-up and first uses can be a bit challenging and complicated since there is an alarm, but afterwards I read it's great

    We have this audio monitor too!  I really like it but when we have another LO I do plan on getting a video monitor.

    I have been using the summer video monitor for the past 2 years with my son.  it worked well for the 1st year but now the battery doesn't hold a charge for longer than one hour and it will get static, which drives me crazy!!!  I am looking to get the motorola video monitor for baby #2.

    I would feel lost without the angelcare monitor (not the video one). It really does give me peace of mind.
