I guess October has a lot of lurkers coming out so they were having fun with their neW "pledges" having to do initiations in order to be part of the board. Basically, it seems like similar to our truth or dare, even though I haven't read much of it. They posted the following in March 2012, and the ladies got pissed. Makes me think of the mucus plug dare. My theory is that a lot of first time moms don't realize what you will do for fun after the baby arrives. They don't realize how close you can get to fellow bumpies and that you need to talk about something other than babies sometimes. HAHAHA they got called 12 year olds too!. Maybe we should all be friends because are junior high kids!
People need to lighten up it was all in fun, no one got hurt.
I love how all these preggers women are like "Ummm...why don't you take care of your infants...blah blah blah." Like we are all letting out children sit in their own feces and starve.
I think it is safe to say that I am not the only one whose 7 or 8 month old likes a little independent play time here and there. That's what we are doing right now, we are both sitting on her play mat, she is playing with her toys quite happily and I am sitting next to her with my computer. We don't do this all day, but here and there it is good for both of us. Also, nap times are not nearly as productive as they used to be: ie, she wakes up if I even try to vacuum, which is really the only house chore that gets neglected.
Having time to spend on the internet, chatting with other moms, does not make us bad moms. And having fun in the process is just, well, part of the fun =D!

I applaud them for being able to carry those sticks up their asses this late in the game.
I think we need to revisit the March board when their LOs are about 3 months and see how they are spending their time. LOL! This is how I read that post:

M2012: OMG, how dare you neglect your children and have some fun! Leave us alone! We know everything!
O2011: Just so you know, we get extra points if you act a fool.
M2012: (Backpeddling) Oh yeah um, we didn't get worked up over this....Hey look at your cute kid!
